Before/after comparison shots, a collection of product photos, a social media collage — there are plenty of times you need to merge several photos into one. Doing this manually in Paint or Photoshop means lining up sizes and positions by hand, which gets tedious. Dagochim's Merge Photos tool lines everything up automatically once you pick the order and layout.

Merge photos with Dagochim

  1. Open the Merge Photos tool.
  2. Drag in the photos you want to combine, or click to select. You can select multiple files at once.
  3. Choose a layout:
    • Side by side: lines photos up left to right.
    • Stacked: stacks photos top to bottom.
    • Grid: arranges them in a grid like 2×2 or 3×3.
  4. Drag to reorder the photos.
  5. Adjust the spacing and background color.
  6. Download the finished image as PNG or JPG.

When would you use this?

When photos are different sizes

For a side-by-side layout, the remaining photos are scaled to match the tallest photo's height while keeping their aspect ratio. A stacked layout works the same way based on width. For a grid layout, each cell is auto-cropped around the center so that every cell shares the same aspect ratio. If you'd rather match the sizes beforehand, use Dagochim's Crop & Resize Image tool first.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All processing happens entirely inside your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to a server, so you can use it with confidence.

Can I do this in Paint instead?

You can technically merge photos in Windows Paint by enlarging the canvas and pasting each photo in one at a time. But you have to line up sizes and positions manually, and it gets more tedious the more photos you add. Dagochim's tool handles the layout, alignment, and spacing automatically, saving you time.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit to how many photos I can merge?

There's no hard limit on the feature itself, but the result image gets larger as you add more photos. Up to about 10 photos usually merges without any issue.

Does merging lower the photo quality?

No quality is lost, since photos are merged at their original resolution. Saving as JPG at a lower quality setting can slightly reduce it due to compression.

What happens if the photos are different sizes?

For a side-by-side layout, photos are automatically scaled to match the tallest photo's height. For a stacked layout, it matches the widest photo's width. In a grid layout, each cell is auto-cropped so every cell has the same aspect ratio.
