PDF to PNG Converter Free - Lossless Quality
Convert PDF pages to crisp, lossless PNG images. PNG is the best format for text-heavy documents, tables, and drawings because it preserves sharp edges without compression artifacts. Drop a PDF, choose your resolution (DPI), select pages, and download high-quality PNG images. Batch conversion of multiple PDFs is also supported. Everything runs in your browser, so your files are never uploaded. No sign-up, no watermark.

When to use it
Sharp slide images for a presentation
Drop the PDF, set "Format" to PNG and "Resolution" to 150 DPI, then convert. Text and lines stay crisp, ready to place into slides.
Only a table from page 4
Choose "Choose pages" and type 4 into "Pages to convert". Convert at 300 DPI for a detailed picture you can zoom into.
Convert several PDFs at once
Drop multiple PDFs, press "Convert all PDFs", then use "Download all (ZIP)". Each page becomes its own numbered PNG.
How to use
- Drop a PDF into the box or click to choose one.
- Set the format to PNG. Choose DPI (150 for screens, 300 for printing).
- Select all pages or specific pages, press Convert, and download PNG images or a ZIP.
How it works
Your PDF is rendered page-by-page by pdf.js at the DPI you choose (72, 150 or 300). Each page is drawn onto an HTML Canvas and then encoded as a PNG image. PNG uses lossless compression, so text stays crisp with no JPEG artifacts. Higher DPI means sharper images but larger files. Everything runs client-side, so the PDF is never uploaded to any server. This makes it safe for confidential documents. How to verify. Also available as a free REST API for developers and AI agents (edge-processed, zero retention).

FAQ
Why choose PNG over JPG for PDF conversion?
PNG uses lossless compression, so text, tables and line drawings stay perfectly crisp. JPG is lossy and can introduce blurring around sharp edges. Use PNG for text-heavy pages and JPG for pages that are mostly photos.
What DPI should I use?
150 DPI is good for on-screen viewing. Use 300 DPI for printing or zooming into small text. 72 DPI gives small files for quick sharing.
Can I convert only specific pages?
Yes. Choose "Choose pages" and type a range like 1-3, 5, or click pages in the preview.
Can I batch convert multiple PDFs?
Yes. Select several PDFs at once. They switch to batch mode, converting every page and letting you download each file's images or all together as a ZIP.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your documents stay on your device.
Can I get a PNG with a transparent background?
No. There is no transparent-background option. Each page is saved as a flat image of the page.
Why is my PNG large?
PNG is lossless, and higher DPI means more pixels. A 300 DPI page can be several megabytes. Use 150 DPI, or JPG with a lower quality, if size matters.
What if the PDF has a password?
The tool asks for it in a "PDF password" box. The password stays in your browser.
