When to use it
One sideways page in a scan
Click "Rotate right" on the tile of the sideways page only. Check the thumbnail, then press "Save PDF". The other pages are untouched.
Turn every page by 90 degrees
Press "Select all", then the "Rotate selected pages right" button in the toolbar. All pages turn together.
Fix an upside-down page
Press the rotate button twice on that page to make it 180 degrees. The preview shows the page upright before you save.
How to use
- Drop a PDF into the box or click to choose one. Page previews appear.
- Click ⟳ (rotate right 90°) or ⟲ (rotate left 90°) on the pages that need fixing. To rotate many pages at once, select them first (click or Shift+click), then use the toolbar rotate buttons.
- Press "Save PDF" to download the corrected file. All rotations are saved permanently.
How it works
Page thumbnails are rendered by pdf.js in your browser. When you rotate a page, the tool updates the page's rotation property in the PDF structure. Saving is handled by pdf-lib, which copies page content as-is and applies the new rotation, so there is zero quality loss. The entire process is client-side: your PDF is never uploaded to any server. This makes it safe for tax returns, legal contracts, medical records and other sensitive documents. How to verify. How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?
Open your PDF here, click the ⟳ or ⟲ button on each page that needs rotating, then press Save PDF. The rotation is written into the file permanently.
Can I rotate just one page in a multi-page PDF?
Yes. Each page has its own rotate buttons. Click ⟳ or ⟲ on the page you want, leave the rest alone, and save. Only the selected page changes orientation.
Does rotating a PDF reduce image quality?
No. The rotation flag in the PDF metadata is updated, but page content is never re-rendered or re-compressed. Quality is identical to the original.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The entire process runs in your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib. Your file stays on your device and is never sent to a server.
Can I rotate a scanned PDF that's sideways?
Absolutely. Scanned PDFs are just images embedded in PDF pages. Rotating them here flips the whole page, scan included, so sideways text becomes upright.
