When to use it

Pull one receipt out of a statement

Open the PDF, click the thumbnail of the page with the receipt and press "Save selected pages only". You get a one-page PDF containing only that page.

Take a chapter from a long document

Click the first page of the chapter, Shift+click the last, and press "Save selected pages only". The button text shows how many pages will be saved.

Combine pages from different places

Click page 2, page 9 and page 14 one by one. They are saved together in the order they appear in the grid, and you can drag tiles into a different order before pressing the save button.

How to use

  1. Drop a PDF into the box or click to choose one. Thumbnails of every page appear.
  2. Click the pages you want to extract. Use Shift+click for a range of pages.
  3. Press 'Save selected pages only' to download a new PDF with just those pages.

How it works

Your PDF is displayed by pdf.js, which renders page thumbnails in your browser. When you select pages and save, pdf-lib copies only those pages into a new PDF without re-rendering, so every detail stays identical to the original. The process is entirely client-side, meaning the file never touches a server. This makes it safe for sensitive documents like contracts, bank statements and medical forms. How to verify. Also available as a free REST API for developers and AI agents (edge-processed, zero retention).

FAQ

How do I extract pages from a PDF?

Open the PDF here, click the pages you want (Shift+click for a range), and press "Save selected pages only." A new PDF with just those pages downloads instantly.

Can I extract non-consecutive pages?

Yes. Click individual pages anywhere in the document. For example, click pages 1, 5 and 12, then save them together as one PDF.

Is the quality of extracted pages the same?

Yes. Pages are copied exactly as they are. There is no re-compression, so text, images and graphics are identical to the original.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser using pdf.js and pdf-lib. The file never leaves your device.

Can I extract pages from a scanned PDF?

Yes. Scanned pages are images embedded in the PDF and they are copied exactly. If you also need searchable text, use the PDF OCR tool first.

Can I get each page as its own file?

No. The tool saves the pages you selected as a single new PDF. To make separate files, extract one page at a time.

Can I enter page numbers instead of clicking?

No. Selection is by clicking thumbnails, using Shift+click for a range or "Select all".

What if my PDF is locked?

A PDF protected by a password or permissions cannot be edited here. The tool points you to the Unlock PDF page, after which you can open the unlocked copy.
