When to use it
Drop the cover and blank pages
Open the PDF, click the cover thumbnail, Shift+click to extend the selection over any blank pages, then press "Delete" in the toolbar. The grid updates at once and "Save PDF" writes the new file.
Remove a few pages from a long report
Click only the pages you want gone, such as an appendix, and check the count line that shows how many are selected. "Delete selected pages" removes them in one go.
Recover from a wrong click
If you deleted the wrong page, press "Undo" and the pages come back before you save. Nothing changes in your original file either way.
How to use
- Drop a PDF into the box or click to choose one. Thumbnails of every page appear instantly.
- Click the pages you want to remove, then press the Delete button in the toolbar.
- Press 'Save PDF' to download the new PDF without the deleted pages. Press Undo if you make a mistake.
How it works
Your PDF is rendered page-by-page by pdf.js, which creates thumbnails in your browser. When you delete pages and save, pdf-lib builds a new PDF containing only the pages you kept, copying them without re-compression so text, images and vector graphics remain identical. The entire process runs client-side, meaning the file never leaves your device. This is ideal for removing cover sheets, blank pages or confidential sections before sharing a document. How to verify. Also available as a free REST API for developers and AI agents (edge-processed, zero retention).

FAQ
How do I delete specific pages from a PDF?
Open your PDF here, click the pages you want to remove (Shift+click for a range), press Delete in the toolbar, then press Save PDF. The remaining pages are saved in a new file.
Can I undo a page deletion?
Yes. Press the Undo button immediately after deleting. You can undo multiple deletions in a row before saving.
Does deleting pages reduce file size?
Usually yes. Removing pages with large images or graphics reduces the overall file size proportionally. Shared resources like fonts may remain, so the reduction is not always exact.
Is the original file changed?
No. A new PDF is created with the remaining pages. Your original file is never modified or uploaded to any server.
Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool, then open the unlocked file here to delete pages.
Can I delete every page?
No. At least one page has to stay, and the tool shows a message if you try.
Can I type a page range such as 3-7?
There is no text field for ranges. Click the first page, then Shift+click the last page to select the range between them.
Does it find blank pages automatically?
No. You pick them by eye from the thumbnails. There is also a "Blank page" button that adds a page, which is the opposite of what you need here.
