When to use it

Fix a scan that came out in the wrong order

Drop the PDF, drag page 8 to the front where it belongs, and check the grid. "Save PDF" writes the document in exactly the order shown.

Move the last page to the front

On a phone, tap the page and use the "Move earlier" arrow repeatedly. It is slower than dragging but works when drag and drop is awkward.

Tidy up a document before sending

While reordering, rotate a sideways page with "Rotate right" and drop a duplicate with "Delete page". Press "Undo" if you change your mind.

How to use

  1. Drop a PDF into the box or click to choose one. Thumbnails appear for every page.
  2. Drag a page to its new position, or use the ◀ ▶ buttons under it. Pages move one at a time. Click a page (Shift+click for a range) to select it if you want to rotate, delete or keep only those pages.
  3. Press "Save PDF" to download the reordered PDF.

How it works

Page thumbnails are rendered by pdf.js in your browser. When you drag pages into a new order, the positions are tracked visually. On save, pdf-lib copies pages in your chosen order into a new PDF without re-rendering or re-compressing anything. Text, images and vector graphics stay pixel-perfect. The file never leaves your device, making this safe for contracts, financial statements and medical records. How to verify. Also available as a free REST API for developers and AI agents (edge-processed, zero retention).

FAQ

How do I rearrange pages in a PDF?

Open the PDF here, then drag page thumbnails to their new positions. On phones, use the ◀ ▶ buttons under each page. Press Save PDF when you are done.

Can I move multiple pages at once?

No. Each move is a single page, by drag or with the ◀ ▶ buttons. Selecting several pages (click, or Shift+click for a range) lets you rotate or delete them together, insert a blank page after them, or save only those pages, but not drag them as a group.

Does reordering affect the content of each page?

No. Pages are moved whole. Text, images, links and annotations remain exactly the same.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript (pdf.js and pdf-lib). The file never leaves your device.

Can I also rotate or delete pages while reordering?

Yes. This tool supports rotation, deletion, blank page insertion and page extraction too. Use the toolbar buttons above the page grid.

Does each page show its original number?

Yes. Each tile is labelled with its original page number, so you can tell which page you are moving after the order changes.

Can I add pages from another PDF?

No. The tool reorders, rotates and deletes pages within one file, and can insert a blank page. To combine files, use the merge tool.
